■ Features of System
This system has the following features.
(1) Asynchronous intermittent operation
Transceivers are designed to operate intermittently (referrer to Figure 2)
by cylindrical manganese-dioxide lithium batteries of which the electric power consumption is exceptionally low.
So, they can continue to operate for approximately ten years without changing with new ones.
In this system, the transmitting/receiving transceiver executes communication by the synchronous supplement at the time of packet transmission. It means that highly accurate timers and devices to maintain the synchronization are not necessary.
(2) Distance vector table
Transceiver to be hopped is selected each time according to the number of distance vector up to a destination transceiver of the routing.
This system has an advantage that it can avoid the influence of change in the radio wave environment compared with the routing system in which the transceiver to be hopped is fixed in advance.
It is possible to transmit to any candidate transceiver at that point when the multiple numbers of transceivers that can receive the routing transmission exist.
(3) Self search function of wireless network configuration
This system has functions to search the configuration of whole network by the automatic search function of transceivers with which they can execute communication and exchange the outcomes of the search each other.
The state of wireless network can be searched by reading the information on the configuration of whole wireless network.
(4) Transceiver number issuing function of transceivers
Since the transceivers have the functions to set up the network number to distinguish the wireless networks, the transceiver number to distinguish the transceivers within the wireless network and so forth, the setup of network executed to each transceiver at the time of installation is much easier.
(5) Automatic routing by terminal ID
The transceivers have functions to search the meters, NCUs, and terminal IDs of other main transceivers that are connected to the wireless network and construct a routing table automatically.
The transferred site of data is determined by relating the transceiver numbers to the connected terminal IDs.
Any routing setup on U-Bus communication is unnecessary at the time of installation and operation.
